Dr. Nyemike Awunor is an Associate Professor and consultant public health physician. He is passionate about teaching, research and community service. He was formerly the Ag. Head of Department (Community Medicine) and was the past Ag. Director of the Community-Based Experience and Services (COBES) programme of the College of Health Sciences, DELSU. A trainer at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he was a past Nigerian Technical Aids Corp. Volunteer at the Habib Medical School, Islamic University in Uganda, Kampala Campus (NTAC, 2018-2020). His research interests span clinical epidemiology; reproductive & family health; and occupational & environmental health. He is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and is currently the Chairman Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) DELSUTH Oghara chapter. He has been involved in public health-related consultancies with the Delta State Ministry of Health (SMOH), NCDC, NPHCDA, NHIA, and the WHO. He has over 60 articles published in relevant peer-reviewed foreign, national, and local journals. He is a co-investigator in some TETFUND-DELSU grant-supported research and is the co-author of an online course on medical statistics using IBM-SPSS

Consultant General Surgeon
A Chief Consultant General Surgeon, Dr Emmanuel Akpo is an alumnus of the University of Jos. He was the immediate past Head of the DELSUTH Department of Surgery, a position he held for five years. He is a fellow of the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria, a Fellow of the International College of surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also holds a Fellowship in Urology and a Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery.
